Our MedTech OPEX Benchmarking is scientifically grounded and developed together with Roland Berger and leading industry peers. It provides the first holistic and systematic assessment of OPEX performance and maturity across MedTech manufacturing sites. The MedTech OPEX Benchmarking was developed over the course of one year by the St.Gallen team in collaboration with Roland Berger and industry experts and was launched in 2025. Building on the foundation of the renowned St.Gallen Pharma OPEX Benchmarking, the model was refined through systematic workshops and interviews to create the world’s first dedicated MedTech OPEX Benchmarking.
The project is fully financed by participating companies. This ensures independence from individual sponsors and guarantees high practical relevance.
The benchmarking project is conducted in accordance with the International Benchmarking Code of Conduct, which ensures that all participants behave in a fair and responsible manner. Company data is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Company-specific information may not be used without the prior consent of the company concerned. The institute reserves the right to use the project results in summarized and anonymized form for publication.
