Benchmarking is a central component of our service offering. As a university research group, we combine scientific methods with practice‑oriented models to provide companies with a sound, comparable, and strategically relevant assessment of their current position. Our benchmarks help organizations systematically identify performance levels, maturity, and improvement potential—based on clear models, validated data, and a structured approach. We offer two types of benchmarking:
1. Standardized benchmarking with predefined topics
A clearly structured, mostly fully digital process: companies select a site, complete our questionnaire based on the St. Gallen Operational Excellence models, and we validate the data together. The sites then receive a detailed report. Optional add‑ons include deep‑dive workshops, site visits, and ongoing support.
We also offer combined pharma benchmarking, enabling a holistic view across manufacturing and quality functions. In addition, we provide aggregated KPI analyses based on our extensive benchmarking databases in both the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries.
2. Flexible, consortial benchmarking with thematic co‑creation
For topics that are not yet defined, we develop a customized benchmarking project together with a network of companies. Participating organizations can help shape the topic, identify successful practices, take part in site visits, and gain exclusive insights into the results. All participants receive an individual evaluation.
